I wish there were a homepage on which I can convert some sentences into phonemic symbols. Then I can not only study the symbols, but can show the pronunciation of all words in sentences to my students easily. Yes, there is such home page, but unfortunately it's a Japanese homepage, so only Japanese benefit from it. Don't worry, anyone can use it if you just learn how to use the page here. :-)

If you go to the home page, you'll see the screen below. If your computer doesn't have Japanese fonts, it'll look different, but don't worry. You don't have to install Japanese fonts. Just look below. Make sure to choose the option circled by the blue circle. You can change line width by changing the option circled by the green circle. If you're not sure about this, just try changing! Type any English text in the text box. You can just copy and paste the text on CNN home page or whatever. Then click the button circled by the red circle!

How does it look like? Yes, the notation of the symbols is American style, which is close to the notation of Japanese dictionary. Since the symbols are picture files which are on the Internet, if you get off line, the symbols disappear. Do you want to display them off line? Then download the picture files of symbols by clicking this. This is a compressed zip file, so you have to uncompress. If you don't know how to do it, ask your friend or search on the Internet. After saving the home page of the results of the conversion on your hard disk, put the page into the picture folder which you just downloaded above. Now let's enjoy Text-Pronunciation Converter home page!
